The Listening Painting 2006

Proposal for an exhibition where visitors could tell the painting any relevant information concerning the missing original - in an attempt to locate Freud’s portrait of Francis Bacon before the artist’s death. The painting was stolen from the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin in 1988. Despite the effort, the painting's whereabouts remain unknown.
